Overview
When I created this magazine, I knew it needed a name that carried the energy of the streets and the soul of our culture. I chose AAWAZ, a word that means voice. Streetwear has always been about more than clothing; it is about expression, resistance, and identity.
Indian streetwear and street culture lacked a dedicated, authentic media platform that represented its voices from the ground up.
Existing fashion and culture magazines often overlooked local narratives—kaarigars, independent artists, rappers, and youth communities—reducing streetwear to trends rather than lived expression.
Curated stories that highlight identity, resistance, and self-expression rather than trends
Blended fashion, music, art, and social narratives to reflect the interconnected nature of street culture
Used bold typography, raw photography, and experimental layouts inspired by street aesthetics
